Atlético Madrid will look to put pressure on La Liga top-three when a relegation-threatened Sevilla visit them this weekend. This match will be played at the Metropolitano Stadium on Saturday. The hosts are 4th ahead of this round with 35 points while the visitors are 14th with 16 points. Atlético are three points behind Barcelona, but have this game in hand and could upstage them with a win. Interestingly, they have fluffed their chances over the last few weeks with two losses and one draw over four league games. That was quite a blow, especially as they won eight and lost just once of the nine games prior to that sequence. Playing at home could work to their advantage as Atlético are unbeaten in league games this season at this venue. They won eight and drew one of their nine home matches in La Liga this season.

This sequence saw them draw three and lose four, so there’s a lot to improve on that aspect before getting their season back on track.
