Atletico Madrid haven't had the best of weeks and it could get worse at the weekend. They lost 1-0 at Villareal at the weekend and then surprisingly lost 2-1 at home in the Champions League to Benfica. That was their third defeat of the season so far and their second at home. Their only wins have been against Las Palmas and Getafe who are both in the bottom half of the table. Barcelona have already won at Atletico so can Real Madrid follow suit? Real had another comfortable win at Malmo in the Champions League in midweek with Ronaldo again finding the net. They're undefeated in La Liga this season but aren't having it all their own way this season. They were held at home by Malaga at home last weekend. They come into this game in third place, two ahead of their opponents. Their away form is impressive though with two wins and a draw with eight goals and just one conceded. Real will see this as a chance to put some distance between themselves and their neighbours with a win taking them five points clear of them.
