Atletico Madrid lost to Real Madrid last weekend and have slipped down to sixth place in La Liga. They look to bounce back from that defeat with a home game against 10th placed Granada. Atletico are three points adrift of the final Champions League place having lost two of their last three league matches. The other loss was 2-0 at Eibar and their last home league game saw them surprisingly held to a goalless draw by relegation-threatened Leganes. With a loss at Cultural Leonesa in the Copa del Rey, it's worrying times for Atletico who have gone three league games without scoring. Home form has been good though with only Real Madrid and Barcelona able to beat them in their last 31 home league games.
Granada were promoted to La Liga this season and got off to a great start. They only lost two of their first ten league games of the season and beat Barcelona 2-0 at home. It's all gone wrong since then though with only three wins in 12, two coming against sides in the bottom four. Their away form is a nightmare at present with seven straight away league defeats and not one goal scored in the last five. This is just the game Atletico need, especially as some confidence is needed with the Champions League tie against Liverpool coming soon. Go for a home win here.
