Atletico Madrid vs Celta Vigo Prediction & Betting Tips - LaLiga

A great week for Atletico ended with disappointment last weekend. They got past Bayern Munich in the Champions League but then slumped to a 2-1 defeat at bottom of the table and relegated Levante. That took them down to third place in the table, two points behind Real and three adrift of Barcelona. The rules on goal difference in La Liga are against Atletico and their losses to Barcelona in the league this season mean they can't finish above them. They have a great home record but both their rivals  have too and scored more than double the number of home goals that Atletico have. Atletico haven't lost a home league game since September and that was to Barcelona. They have kept clean sheets in their last five home league and cup games and that includes home wins over Bayern Munich and Barcelona. But what do they do here? They can't win the title but could snatch second off Real. The temptation to rest some players for the upcoming Champions League final must be tempting.  Celta Vigo are no pushovers and start the game in fifth. They've qualified for the Europa League but are only a point ahead of sixth placed Athletic Bilbao who are home to Sevilla who could well rest players ahead of their Europa League Final and are yet to win away from home. The difference between fifth and sixth is going into the Europa League play-offs and straight into the group stages so Celta won't just see this as an end of season game. Atletico can get the win but I'm not over confident here and would suggest leaving bets to late to see what team they put out.
