Fifth place Atletico Madrid are targeting a third straight win in La Liga when they host Cadiz on Sunday. These two sides are separated by four points; Atletico in fifth and Cadiz ninth on nine points. Atletico have grown in strength since their 3-0 defeat at Valencia. They haven't lost after that, winning their last two matches. In their last four matches though, they have one clean sheet and the defence is an area they’ll want to sort. Two of their three wins in the last five matches have however come with clean sheets. Meanwhile, Atletico failed to score in just one of their last five matches. In three of their last five matches, Atletico scored two or more goals. At home in La Liga, they have 11 straight wins, and are unbeaten in 13, winning 11. Their most recent game was an away 2-0 win over Osasuna. In that game though, their lead scorer Alvaro Morata was sent off. He will have no chance to add on his five league goals.

Cadiz will come into this game on three straight games without a win. They have also failed to score in two of those three matches. The shock win over Villarreal remains their only victory in the last six matches. Coming into this game, they drew 0-0 with Rayo Vallecano, their second straight draw. They have one clean sheet in six matches, which poses another concern for the visitors. That will be key, as they face an opponent they’ve only beaten once in the last six meetings. One loss in five league matches may seem solid for Cadiz, but they’ve drawn three of the five matches. It is their away run that they’ll want to really improve on. In the last eight away matches in La Liga, they have no win, losing five. Cadiz failed to score in four of those five losses.
