Atletico Madrid got their Champions League campaign off to a comfortable start with a 2-0 win at Galatasaray. They now take on Benfica from Portugal and can get a second win. With their next two games against Astana, Madrid should have few problems getting through to the knock-out stages.  It's not going all their way in La Liga at present with defeats at Villareal and home to Barcelona so far.  Atletico reached the quarter final stage last season losing out to Real Madrid. They didn't just go undefeated at home but played five games without conceding a goal (including half an hour of extra time against Leverkusen). In all they have gone seven games without conceding and let in just two at home in the last two tournaments. Benfica began their campaign with a 2-0 win over Astana and this is obviously a lot tougher. They are much better at home and have already lost two away games in the league this season.  Benfica only picked up one point away from home in the Champions League last season and should struggle to get anything out of their visit to Atletico.
