Fourth placed Atletico Madrid aim to get a sixth straight win in La Liga. They host Alaves who are 15th in the table and only three points above the relegation zone. Atletico begin the weekend three points behind leaders Real Madrid and have a game in hand. Their last five league games have all been won with 13 goals scored and that includes a 3-1 home win over Real Madrid. That would delight any fans of the Matress Makers. Atletico had won six games in a row before drawing 2-2 at Celtic in the Champions League. They had to come from behind twice to get a point in that game. Home form for Atletico in La Liga this season has seen them win all four of their games. 11 goals have been scored with at least two goals scored in each of those matches. The Indians have won their last five home league games against Alaves and should make it six this weekend.

Alaves are only three points above the La Liga relegation zone. They come into this away game at Atletico with no wins in their last six league games. Three of the last four have ended in a draw, all with a 1-1 scoreline. They'd be delighted with that score on Sunday but that looks extremely unlikely. Alaves have only won two league games this season. Both were achieved on home soil against Sevilla and Valencia. Away form hasn't been so good with only two points from five La Liga fixtures and just a couple of goals scored.
