Atalanta may have lost the Coppa Italia final but they have clinched a Champions League place. They are second and host Milan (two points behind them) who are third and can overtake them with a win. Atalanta have 78 points and due to head-to-head results can't drop out of the top four. Midweek saw them lose to Juventus in the cup final, that was their first loss in ten league and cup games since being knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid. Atalanta are unbeaten in their last 11 Serie A games, their last defeat being by champions Inter. Their last three league matches have seen them score 11 goals but concede five. Four of their last five league and cup matches have seen both teams get on the scoresheet and six of the last nine at home.

Milan can finish second with a win in this game. However, not winning could see them fail to get into the Champions League. They are level on points with third placed Napoli and one ahead of Juventus in fifth. If points finish level, they will be fine as they are ahead of both their rivals on head-to-head results. Milan had scored 12 goals without reply in three Serie A games before a goalless draw at home to struggling Cagliari. They have won six of their last seven away league matches, the other a 3-0 loss at Lazio. 15 of their 18 away games in Serie A have been won, the best record by far. Only in two of their last 28 away league games have Milan failed to get on the scoresheet. This should be a great game and Atalanta will want to clinch second. Go for both teams to score.
