Atalanta are going through a bad patch and this Saturday host Milan. They are eighth in Serie A, five places and nine points behind their opponents. Atalanta's most recent league fixture saw them suffer a 3-0 defeat at Torino and that was their second successive loss in Serie A. Their previous fixture had resulted in a 2-1 home loss to Napoli. Just one point has been earned from their last four league games. That was a 1-1 draw at Udinese who are in the bottom half of the table. The poor run has left them three points behind seventh place which is the Europa Conference League qualifying spot. Home form for Atalanta has seen them win three out of their six league games with a couple of losses. Their last two home league fixtures have both ended in defeat. Their last home league victory was in October when beating Genoa. It hasn't been an easy fixture list though with the recent home losses being inflicted by leaders Inter and Napoli.

Milan are six points adrift of top spot and four behind second placed Juventus. They have a big week ahead of them with a trip to Newcastle in a vital Champions League match. Before that, they won't want to drop points at Atalanta and see the gap between them and the top two widen further. Milan have won their last two league games and are unbeaten in their last three Serie A fixtures. On their travels, Milan have won four of their seven away league fixtures with the only defeat suffered being at Inter in September. They are unbeaten in their last four away league games with eight goals scored. We go for them to get an away win.
