Aston Villa vs Wolves Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Aston Villa have played three games since the Premier League season resumed and haven't won any of them. They are still 19th in the table and host a confident Wolverhampton Wanderers side who are sixth. Villa have drawn two and lost one of their last three games but that just isn't good enough. They remain in the bottom three, though only on goal difference. If they are going to escape relegation, they need to start winning matches but haven't done that in the Premier League since January. Just two points have been earned from their last seven league games and they have a tough run-in. Relegation is looking very much on the cards unless they can find some wins from somewhere. Home form has seen Villa with just four points from their last five league games. The only win was a 2-1 defeat of fellow strugglers Watford. Now they face two home league games against Wolves and Manchester United and an away trip to Liverpool. 

Wolverhampton Wanderers have won both of the games they have played in the last week. A 2-0 win at West Ham United was followed by a 1-0 home victory over Bournemouth. Those two sides are the couple right above Villa, so at least they have helped their opponents a bit. They won't want to do them any favours in this game though. Wolves are only two points behind fourth placed Chelsea (it will be more if they don't lose to Manchester City on Thursday) and only behind fifth-placed Manchester United on goal difference.  It's possible that a Wolves win at Villa Park could take them into fourth spot unless Chelsea beat City. They are unbeaten in their last seven league games and the last team to beat them was Liverpool. Away form has seen them win three of their last four. With Jimenez in top form, they can inflict more misery on Villa and get three valuable points.
