The hosts come into this match off the back of a very good result, beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 away from home. They've recorded three wins, four draws, and ten losses this term. The major issue for Wolves this season has been in front of goal, where they've scored only ten goals all season, the worst record in the league so far. Away from home, Wolves has only managed one win this season which came against Everton on Boxing Day, along with two draws and five losses. Wolves have been the superior side in this fixture in recent times and are unbeaten in the last three encounters against this opponent, with two wins and a draw. However, both sides have been in a different place since those matches, and Aston Villa is looking more well-drilled and looking upward, whereas Wolves are looking as though they are out of ideas and will be hoping that they can get a proven goalscorer in the transfer window.
