Two points from their last 12 games is an appalling return for Aston Villa. They have just five for the whole season and are five points from safety. That's a gap they just can't allow to grow any larger but would you back Villa to win a match? No, me neither not at the moment and not after that 4-0 hammering at Everton last weekend. Villa are yet to score under Garde and they have only scored twice in their last six Premier League games. Not quite as bad as the goal drought they had last season but this isn't a side that looks likely to avoid the dreaded drop to the Championship. That's the league Watford played in last season and so far they haven't done too bad in their return to the Premier League. They start this game in 13th place but are seven points above the relegation zone and that's reasonably healthy.Only Stoke and Villa have scored less goals than them in the Premier League but they've only conceded 14 in 13 games. Away from home they have scored in their last four games and have earned seven points in the process. I wouldn't be surprised if they won at Villa on Saturday but I think the safest bet is to go for under 2.5 goals.
