Aston Villa may have reached the final of the EFL Cup but are still in relegation trouble. They start this weekend one place and a point above the bottom three but take on sixth placed Tottenham Hotspur. Villa have only won three of their last 12 league games and two of those have been against fellow relegation candidates. They just struggle for consistency in terms of getting results. However, they are far more consistent when it comes to conceding goals with only Norwich failing to score against them in their last 12 league fixtures. Each of their last five league games have seen both teams score. Home form has produced two wins from the last three (against Norwich and Watford) but five have been lost.

Tottenham can close the gap on fourth placed Chelsea to a single point if winning this game. They have seven points from their last three league matches, two home wins and a draw at Watford. While their home form is going well, it's not the same on their travels. Tottenham have only one win in their last five and possess the 14th best away record in the league. Just the two victories this season at Wolves and West Ham, both since the arrival of Jose Mourinho. They only have seven away league games left to play, with just one against a side in the top four (Chelsea). Tottenham need to be picking up points against sides below them in the table but they still struggle on the road and haven't scored in their last two. Before those games, six away league games in a row had seen both teams get on the scoresheet. Up against a fragile Villa defence, both teams to score in this game looks a good bet.
