Aston Villa vs Reading Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship
by Steve Ashfield | in Championship Predictions
There were plenty of worries for Leeds United fans in the lead up to the new season with financial fears after they failed to win promotion back to the Premier League last season. They have made a steady start though and currently sit fifth in the table with eight points from four games and are undefeated. Their season got off to a good start with a 3-1 victory at Hull City and another win followed as they came from behind to beat Wigan Athletic. They took the lead at Ipswich last Saturday but had to be content with a 1-1 draw and again drew on Wednesday, this time with fellow promotion chasers Brentord. The game finished 2-2 but they needed a 95th minute equaliser to get the point. Home form is strong with only one loss in the last 19 home league games so this will be a tough task for Reading.
The visitors lost 3-0 at Villa Park last season and have made a poor start this time around. They are one from bottom in the table with just one point from four matches. Reading lost their first three league games losing to a last gasp winner by Derby in their opening fixture and then losing 1-0 at Nottingham Forest. A win over Birmingham City in the Carabao Cup followed but back in league action they lost 1-0 at home to Bolton Wanderers. Their first league point arrived with a 2-2 draw at Blackburn Rovers but it could have been so much better for them. They led 2-0 in the first half but were pegged back in the second half conceding two penalties. That draw extended their run without an away league win to ten but at least it ended a spell in which they had gone five away games without scoring. This is going to be a struggle for them and the bet here is to go for a home victory.

Our Aston Villa vs Reading Prediction
Aston Villa did well to earn a point against Brentford on Wednesday but should find this game a bit easier. They have a strong home record and take on a team that have just one point from four games and threw away a 2-0 lead on Wednesday. Go for Aston Villa to win this match and keep in the promotion hunt.
