Aston Villa host Norwich City at Villa Park in this Premier League match. The home team are in 15th position with 37 points while the away team is last on the table with 21 points. Aston Villa had a goalless draw in their last match against Leicester but would be happy with the result as it ended a run of four consecutive defeats. They are eight points above the relegation zone and should be safe this season but they will want their first win in six matches. Aston Villa have won seven pf their last eight matches against Norwich with the only defeat during this time coming at Carrow Road in 2015. They have however lost four of their last seven matches against bottom clubs, the same number of losses they suffered in the previous 37 matches against such clubs. Aston Villa last went six matches without a win between February and July 2020.

Norwich are almost certain to return to the Championship next season as they only have a mathematical chance of survival but realistically they should prepare for the life in the lower league. Their 21 points tally sees them eight points from safety and with just five more matches it looks like their yo-yo affair with the Premiership will continue. They lost their last match 3-0 to Newcastle which was their second loss in a row. Norwich have an awful away record this season as they have only managed two wins on the road and the reason for this is that they only scored 10 goals in 16 away matches. This is the worst goal scoring away record in the league.
