Aston Villa are back to winning ways and as they play host to Crystal palace they will be out to build on their comfortable win over Everton. The two sides face off on Saturday, separated by four points with Villa on 31 in 11th place and Palace have managed 27 points, in 12th place. Second half goals from Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Buendia handed Villa a 2-0 win over Everton in the last game. That marked the end of a three-game losing run and was their second clean sheet in five matches. Watkins has been a key player for Villa, scoring in each of the last five matches and in four of them, netting the first goal of the game. While they haven't won a lot, Villa have been good on the attacking front, scoring in each of their last 13 matches. Three times in the last four matches, they have scored two goals and three of their last five matches have had over 2.5 goals.

Crystal Palace come into this game on a poor run. They haven't lost a lot in recent matches, but they haven't also won many. In their last six matches, they are without a win, but have drawn five, losing once. It is however a concern at Patrick Vieira’s team that his team has gone without a win in the last nine matches. The 2-0 away win at Bournemouth in December was Palace’s last taste of victory so they go into this one seeking a first win of 2023. In their last outing, Palace put up a brave show to draw 0-0 with Liverpool, which was the second time in five games that they failed to score. Four of their last five matches have had under 2.5 goals, with both teams scoring in three of the five matches. In the last nine matches, Palace haven't scored more than a goal in a game.
