There really isn’t much to play for at the moment for both Aston Villa and Crystal Palace, other than getting a top half finish. The two sides face off in the next round of Premier League action with 12th placed Villa, on 43 points, hosting Palace, who have 44 points. Aston Villa are coming from a 2-1 loss to Liverpool, a game they gave a lot in but lost their three-game unbeaten run. They've failed to score in two of their last five matches and they have two clean sheets in the last five games. Three of their last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals and it is their home form that will worry them more. Villa have three losses in the last four home matches while the last 11 have produced just three wins.

Crystal Palace have been on and off but they come into this game on a strong footing, with two wins in the last two matches, and a three-game unbeaten run. The best they can finish is eighth place so there’s no hope for them playing in Europe next season. In their last five matches, they’ve failed to score in three but they have two clean sheets in their last three matches. Palace have lost twice in the last five away matches, but have three wins in that run, and only one clean sheet, while they failed to score in one. In the last four meetings with Aston Villa, Crystal Palace have managed just one win, and lost four.
