It's make or break for Aston Villa in this top of the table clash in the Championship. Both Villa and Cardiff could do with winning this game too with third-placed Fulham will be keeping a very close eye on what happens at Villa Park,  Cardiff City have one point from their last two league games and lost to league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday, a game they could have won if they hadn't missing two penalties. They start this game in the second and final automatic promotion spot and just two points clear of Fulham and if they don't win this game and Fulham win at home to Reading, then they will lose their second place spot but have a game in hand. Cardiff have no defeats in their last six away league games and the loss to Wolves ended a 13-game unbeaten run in the league.

Aston Villa have to win this game if they want to have any chance of automatic promotion back to the Premier League. They are seven points behind Cardiff and played a game more with just four more league matches to play after this. Winning will cut the gap to four points but they aren't in great form at present and lost 3-1 at Norwich on Saturday. and the last four league matches have seen them earn just four points with the only win being at home to Reading who are in terrible form themselves. At home, Villa have won six of their last eight league games and only lost one of the last 12 but they are just too inconsistent at present to back to win this game. The suggested bet is to go for Cardiff, who beat Villa 3-0 at home earlier in the season on the double chance - win/draw.
