Both of these clubs had good wins in the last set of Premier League games before the international break. Aston Villa won 5-1 away at Norwich City to climb up to 15th in the table. That's a point and a place behind visitors Brighton and Hove Albion who beat Tottenham 3-0 at home. Villa for once held onto a lead at Norwich, they'd failed to do that in previous games against Tottenham, Arsenal and Burnley. They will want to build on that win at Carrow Road, especially as their next league game is away to Manchester City. Villa have only lost one of their four home games played at home this season. That was in their opening fixture against Bournemouth but since then they have beaten Everton and drew with both West Ham and Burnley (both in the top seven at present).

Brighton and Hove Albion had a good home win over struggling Tottenham, their second league win of the season. They beat Watford 3-0 away in their opening fixture but then went six without a win before meeting Tottenham at just the right time. Their away form hasn't been that impressive this year. Aside from the Watford victory, Brighton have lost at Manchester City and Chelsea while drawing at Newcastle United. They recently lost at home to Villa in the EFL Cup and with home advantage, this game can result in another win for Aston Villa.
