It's the final set of games in the regular Nicaraguan Premier League season. Jalapa are in fifth place and guaranteed a play-off spot but are likely to struggle when hosting second placed Real Esteli. They come into this game in poor form having just been hammered 6-1 at league leaders FC Managua making it four games without a win. However, they are five points clear of seventh place so they will be in the play-off quarter finals. They have only scored one goal in three games and at home, have one point from their last two.

Real Esteli are in second but still not assured of not having to enter the play-offs until the semi-finals. Only two points separate second and fourth with the top two going into the semi-finals. Their latest game saw them draw 0-0 at home to third placed Diriangen, with Walter Ferretti closing in on the top three with a home win over Sabanas. Esteli aren't finishing the regular season in good form with only one win in their last five matches with three being drawn. Only one of their last four away league games has been lost though and they will want to win this game to clinch second. Jalapa have only conceded three home league goals but aren't in good form and haven't as much as their opponents to play for. Go for an away win here.
