Arsenal vs Wolves Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Daniel Ngulu | in Premier League Predictions
It has been a few tough weeks for Arsenal but they returned to winning ways on Thursday, beating Molde in the Europa League for their first win in three matches. The Gunners will hope to replicate that performance in the Premier League when they host Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend. Arsenal have 13 points and are placed 12th going to this game while Wolves have managed 14 points and are placed ninth. Both sides have no win in their last two league matches; in their last game, Arsenal struggled against Leeds United, luckily escaping with a point in a 0-0 draw. They had forward Nicolas Pepe sent off in the game and had to play most of the second half a man down but had the needed boost with a 3-0 win in Norway. The Gunners will play at home for the first time since the humiliating 3-0 loss to Aston Villa and hope they can get back to winning ways in the league. They have three clean sheets in their last five matches and have scored in three but in the league, they have just one win in the last five matches. Arsenal have scored just one goal in their last five league matches, and it was a penalty. It will be tougher for them here with a number of forward players out of the game. Pepe is out on suspension while Bukayo Saka is injured. Thomas Partey is injured, Mo Elneny is in isolation after testing positive for Covid-19 and their main forwards – Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Alexander Lacazette have had confidence issues lately. Arsenal have lost their last two home league matches, and haven’t scored in them. They head here without a clean sheet in seven straight home league matches but have scored in 12 of their last 14 home league matches. In their last six meetings with Wolves, Arsenal have two wins and one loss
Wolverhampton Wanderers had no midweek assignment and will be fresher going to this game, considering Arsenal fielded a number of first teamers in Norway. They had to come from a goal down to draw with Southampton in their last game and will hope for a first win in three matches when they travel to London. Wolves have however managed just one win in 20 meetings with Arsenal. There is one aspect that will work for them though; they have scored in four of their last five matches and will hope to carry this to the Arsenal game, though defence has been one of the best performing departments at Arsenal. Unlike at Arsenal where the absentee list is long, only Jonny Castro is out for Wolves and they’ll hope this helps them improve on their away form. The visitors have three losses in the last five away league matches. Their last six matches have each produced under 2.5 goals and they have scored more than one goal in just one of their last nine matches. Eight of Wolves’ last nine league matches have also produced under 2.5 goals.

Our Arsenal vs Wolves Prediction
Both Arsenal and Wolves will be hoping to return to winning ways in the league after failing in their last two matches. Arsenal will be motivated by their win in the Europa League but they meet a well-rested Wolves side and it won’t be easy. The two sides have not been very expressive in attack and as a result, their matches have produced few goals. Arsenal have a long list of absent players and their forwards have been low in confidence lately, while Wolves have not done very well away from home on the attacking front. A bet of under 2.5 goals in this clash looks good.
