Arsenal fans are still trying to get their breath back after the comeback win over Aston Villa on Sunday. They host Championship side Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup and will hope to avoid a shock defeat to the midlands side. That has happened in the past with Forest beating the Gunners with a 4-2 away loss in the FA Cup two seasons ago. Arsenal will leave out a lot of first team players for this game. However, they did that in the Europa League last Thursday and won 3-0 at Eintracht Frankfurt. The past three seasons has seen Arsenal reach the quarter finals twice and lose in the final in the 2017/18 season. Only two of their last eight home games in this competition have been lost and those were against Manchester City and Tottenham.

Nottingham Forest are past winners of the English League Cup but back in the glory days of Brian Clough. They reached the fourth round last season, the first time they had achieved that since the 2004/05 season. They are currently sixth in the Championship and only two points behind the league leaders. Just one league game has been lost and that was to West Bromwich Albion in their first game of the season. Away form has seen them win two and draw two in the league this season. Form in this competition isn't so good though with ten goals conceded in their last three matches and last season lost to League One Burton Albion.  Go for Arsenal to get the win in this game.
