Arsenal welcomes Liverpool to the Emirates for this crucial Premiership encounter. The home team are in fourth position with 51 points while the visitors are in second position with 66 points. Arsenal are currently in the Champions League spots and although they are just a point ahead of fifth placed Manchester United they do have three games in hand over their rivals. The Gunners have won their last five league matches and are unbeaten in the last six. They have won eight of their last ten league matches but playing just three days after their 2-0 win over Leicester could take its toll on their fitness. Arsenal will be desperate to get back into the Champions League after missing out on five seasons of Europe's elite competition.

Liverpool bounced back with a 2-0 away win against Brighton in their last match after losing 1-0 midweek to Inter Milan in the Champions League. The victory in the last match took them to eight straight league wins and to within three points of leaders Manchester City. It a remarkable run by the Reds who were at one stage this season 13 points behind the champions. They will need to continue with their form but it won't be easy against their old nemesis Arsenal who have become very difficult to beat at home.
