For the second season in a row Arsenal find themselves in the Europa League after finishing sixth in the 2017/18 English Premier League season. They made a slow start to life under new boss Unai Emery losing their first two league games but have won the next three and are up to seventh after a weekend victory over Newcastle United. Even so they may need to win the Europa League to get back into the Champions League next season. Last season Arsenal made it through to the semi-finals losing to eventual winners Atletico Madrid. They played virtual reserve teams for a lot of the competition and are likely to do that again this season but they have a strong enough squad to win this game and are unbeaten in their last ten home league and cup games.

Most Arsenal fans will probably never have heard of their opponents in this game, that's life in the Europa League for those used to being in the Champions League every season. Vorskla Poltava hail from the Ukraine and are fifth in the league with 12 points from eight league games. This is only their second time in the group stages of the Europa League having lost in the third qualifying round for the past two seasons. Their only other appearance in the group stages was in the 2011/12 season when they finished bottom of their group. They have only won one of their last ten Europa League games and lost four of their last five away games scoring just once, Current form has them winning three of their last four games but away form is terrible with five defeats in the last six.and have the second worst away record in the Ukranian league. No surprise then that the tip is for a home win and Arsenal leading at both half and full time.
