Arsenal vs Everton Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Steve Ashfield | in Premier League Predictions
Arsenal host Everton in a Friday night game at the Emirates as both sides look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League. The Gunners are ninth in the standings, with 46 points while Everton have so far managed 49, and are placed eighth. In the last game, Arsenal struggled to break down a relegation threatened Fulham side, scoring late to snatch a 1-1 draw at home. It was another highlight of their inconsistency, coming from a well worked 4-0 win over Slavia Prague in Europa League and they will be hoping for better times here. They are nine points off the Europa League spot and will be worse off with their top scorer Alex Lacazette injured. The Frenchman is responsible for four of their eight goals in the last three matches and Mikel Arteta will be hoping young Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli can step up, with skipper Pierre Emerick Aubameyang out with illness. Arsenal have failed to score in just one of their last five league matches but have won only two of the five, with four of them producing over 2.5 goals. In total, they’ve scored nine goals but conceded eight in the five matches. At home, they are winless in the last two league matches and have won just six of their last 16 league games.
Everton haven’t also been at their best, and the team that once showed great potential to finish in the top four, has seemed more likely to finish in mid table. They are winless in the last five league matches and have a long injury list to deal with. In the last five league matches they’ve managed just three points from a possible 15, while they are also the lowest scorers in the top 10, with 43 goals. The Toffees haven’t been strong defensively too, conceding twice in three of the last five, while managing just one clean sheet. In their last game, defensive errors cost them two points as they drew 2-2 with Tottenham, and the continued absence of Yeri Mina and Abdoulaye Doucoure is clearly hurting the team. The team has failed to score in two of the last five league matches, but Dominic Calvert Lewin is said to be on his way to recovery, and Andre Gomes could also feature in this game, having spent some time out with a thigh injury. Carlo Ancelotti’s team hasn’t won or scored in the last two away league matches. In the 15 away league games this season, they’ve managed nine wins.

Our Arsenal vs Everton Prediction
Both Arsenal and Everton have been inconsistent in recent weeks and they are struggling with injuries to key players too. Everton are winless in five league matches, but have three straight draws coming to this game. Arsenal weren’t entirely convincing in their last game, and with Europa League coming right after this game, Arteta will definitely want to rest a few key players. That has been seen to significantly weaken the team in the recent matches, so a draw is a more likely outcome here.
