Arsenal vs Everton Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by James | in Premier League Predictions
Arsenal host Everton in the Premier League this weekend with both sides looking to build on the momentum picked up from big wins last week. The announcement of a European competitions ban for Manchester City further incentivizes the clubs as an additional Champions League place will open up. Arsenal, six points off fifth in tenth place, are two points behind ninth-placed Everton. Both clubs are enjoying rejuvenations that simultaneously began after their last meeting. A drab goalless draw was played out between the pair in one of the worst games of the season while Arteta and Ancelotti waited in their respective wings. Arsenal have only lost one of Arteta's eight games in charge. This steeliness is newfound and positive. However, only two of those eight games have been wins and the most recent was against an inviting Newcastle defence. The Gunners need to work on killing off opponents.
Arteta is some way behind Ancelotti in terms of impressive results. He has won as many matches (five) in his eight games in charge than Everton had in their previous 18 Premier League outings. The Toffees play with a confidence that wasn't there previously, the transformation of Dominic Calvert-Lewin being a prime example. The forward has looked like a completely different player under the tutelage of his Italian coach, scoring six goals in his last eight league games. A strong striker who can bully defences, Calvert-Lewin will be a testing fight for Arsenal's centre-halves. We suggest backing the forward in a first goalscorer bet.

Our Arsenal vs Everton Prediction
Impressive in the second half of their match against Newcastle, Arsenal can be brilliant when they get breaks. Since Carlo Ancelotti took charge, Everton have restricted the number of breaks they give opponents. The Toffees look like a side that could fulfil their potential under the Italian with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison looking particularly exciting. Back the former to open the scoring.
