Arsenal need to get back in winning ways after a shock loss at Sheffield United on Monday. They are fifth in the Premier League but only a point and a place above their opponents Crystal Palace. A title challenge already looks out of the question for the Gunners. They trail Liverpool by ten points after that Monday defeat where they could have made up some ground. Arsenal had gone five league games without defeat but only two of their last six have been won. Home form is again strong with three wins and a draw against Tottenham. Just one away win shows why they may again struggle to finish in the top four. Arsenal have only lost one of their last 22 home league games, that just happened to be inflicted on them by Crystal Palace.

The away side are sixth in the league with 14 points from their nine league games. Are there really only five clubs in England better than Crystal Palace?  They lost 2-0 at home to Manchester City last weekend and that means only two of their last five league matches have been won. Palace have had four league wins this season against Manchester United, Aston Villa, Norwich City and West Ham. None of those sides defeated were in good form at the time and all are outside the top 10. Palace have had some notable away wins in the past few seasons. This season has seen them win two and lose two so you can never quite tell what they are going to do. They may be sixth in the table but have only scored eight goals and have a -2 goal difference.
