Arsenal Ladies face Chelsea Ladies in the Final of the FA Women's League Cup competition at Molineux this Sunday (3pm Kick Off), a repeat of last year's final in this tournament which Arsenal emerged as 3-1 winners. The Gunners have won this trophy a record six times. Despite beating both Manchester City and Chelsea in the league already this season, the Gunners league campaign has tailed off in recent weeks after two losses in their last five WSL matches, at West Ham and Chelsea. However, they have been dominant in the League Cup, winning their group with 10 points from a possible 12 and then hammering London City and Aston Villa 4-0 in the quarter and semi-finals respectively. They come into this game on the back of a 3-1 comeback win over Aston Villa in the WSL last weekend, Victoria Pelova (54) leading a second half fight back before Lotte Wubben-Moy (84) and Stina Blackstenius (86) completed the recovery.

Chelsea have twice won the Women's League Cup, but have been beaten finalists in the past two years, losing to Man City in 2021/22 and Arsenal last season, both by 3-1 scorelines. Head coach Emma Hayes will be keen to earn their first silverware of the season in her final season as manager before she takes over as United States national team coach. Chelsea did not enter this competition until the quarter-final stages, as they are playing in the Champions League, but won their quarterfinal with Sunderland 5-0 before earning a narrow 1-0 win over Manchester City in the semi-final. The Blues are unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions, winning six and drawing their last game 1-1 with Ajax in the Champions League, although they did lead 3-0 from the first leg in Amsterdam.
