Arsenal vs Bournemouth Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Devesh Jaganath in Premier League Predictions
As we head into the final third of what’s already been a gripping Premier League season, Arsenal will be looking to take a step closer to securing the title when they square off against relegation contenders Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. A win for either side will be of huge significance, as the Gunners aim to maintain their lead at the top of the table, while three points for the visitors would likely propel them out of the drop zone and possibly give them the confidence boost they need to challenge for survival as we enter the final stretch.

The hosts are unsurprisingly the overwhelming favourites in this match, priced at 1.2 for the win. A draw is returning 7.0, while a win for the visitors is comfortably the outside option at a huge 13.0 and better on most bookmakers’ odds. Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are the Gunners' top scorers this season with 11 and 10 goals, respectively, and both are returning an attractive 2.65 to score anytime. With the league looking like it may go down to the wire, goal difference may play a major role in the final outcome at the end of the season, and Arsenal will see this as a great opportunity to get a few in their favour. The handicap result of Arsenal -1, therefore, looks like a worthwhile punt at very respectable odds of 1.66 and better on most sportsbooks.

Arsenal - Bournemouth: Form Analysis
Arsenal is in pole position in the league, clear off Manchester City in second by five points after 25 matches. They come into this match off the back of a romping 4-0 victory over Everton in their last match, which was their third in succession. Their home form has been very good this season, with a record of nine wins, two draws, and just one loss in twelve matches at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal is also unbeaten against this opponent in their last five matches, winning four and drawing one. Bournemouth, on the other hand, has only won two of their last 10 league matches and suffered a 4-1 defeat in their last match against Manchester City, which was their third in their last six matches. Their record on the road doesn’t bode well for their confidence either, with just two wins all season, along with two draws and eight losses in 12 matches.

Arsenal & Bournemouth Squad Analysis
Mohamed Elneny and Gabriel Jesus are both set to miss this match, though the latter has begun training with the squad again and could return in the next week or two. Jorginho was withdrawn at the halfway point against Everton in midweek, which could mean that Thomas Partey will return to the starting eleven, while Leandro Trossard could keep his place after continuing to impress at the expense of Eddie Nketiah. Kieran Tierney, Fabio Vieira, and Emile Smith Rowe are all clear for selection and may feature off the bench as they work their way back to full fitness. Meanwhile, Gary O’Neil may have something of an injury crisis on his hands, with Junior Stanislas, Matias Vina, and Marcus Tavernier all missing their previous match against Manchester City, and there has been no confirmation if any of them will be available for this match yet. Lloyd Kelly and Lewis Cook will need to pass late fitness tests as well, while Ilya Zabarnyi and David Brooks are definitely not going to be involved for the Cherries in this one, with Senesi and Ouattara likely to deputize in their absence.

Our Arsenal vs Bournemouth Prediction
Bournemouth played better than the 4-1 scoreline in their last match against Manchester City suggests, but they come up against a very different type of opposition this time around. Arsenal has pulled off big results more times than not this season, and despite the short turnaround time from their last match, Mikel Arteta’s men will still have plenty in the tank to put on another solid display in front of their home fans. Their attackers look in great form, too, and we can see them racking up a few more goals and a comfortable win in this one. Our Arsenal v Bournemouth prediction is on the handicap market for Arsenal -1.
