Armenia - Wales: Form Analysis
Armenia have to win here if they are to remain in with a chance at qualifying automatically for next year’s showpiece in Germany. A loss will see them eliminated. The hosts have accumulated seven points from their six qualifiers and sit three points from the top two places. Oleksandr Petrakov’s men produced one of the shock results of Group D on matchday two as they won 4-2 away to Wales. That win started a three-match unbeaten run in the qualifiers that resulted in their seven points. They will hope to rise to the occasion again and end their current three-game slump. The Havakakan have lost their last three games with the latest being a 3-1 friendly defeat away to North Macedonia. Armenia were defeated 2-0 by Latvia last time out in the group.
Wales are in a rich vein of form at the moment and arrive here having not lost any of their last four games. Robert Page’s men have won their last three fixtures and have done so by conceding just once. Two of those victories have come in Group D where they have amassed 10 points thanks to three wins and a draw. Wales defeated Croatia 2-1 last time out and leapfrogged them into second place. The Dragons edge Croatia on the head-to-head rule as both nations are tied on points. Wales' next host already qualified Turkey after the Armenia game and have qualification right in their hands. Bettering Croatia’s result in the final two matches will see them return to the continental stage for the third successive tournament.

Armenia & Wales Squad Analysis
Armenia will miss no key players due to injury or suspension here. Lucas Zelarayán scored twice against Wales in the reverse match. He hasn’t found the back of the net since in Group D but is one of Armenia’s options in attack. Grant-Leon Ranos also grabbed a brace in the game. Tigran Barseghyan has scored nine goals for Armenia and is the country’s leading scorer in the current squad. He is also one to look out for here.
Wales will have Brennan Johnson back from injury. The forward missed last month’s internationals due to a hamstring problem. Johnson is coming off a debut goal for Tottenham Hotspur last weekend and should be in high spirits here. A sad note though for the visitors is Aaron Ramsey is still unavailable due to injury. Harry Wilson is the joint top scorer in Group D with three goals. The winger was on the scoresheet in the reverse match with Armenia and scored twice against Croatia last time out.
