Armenia vs Turkey Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

The road to Euro 2024 gets underway this week, and in their opening match of Group D, we will see Armenia take on Turkey at the Vazgen Sargsyan anvan Hanrapetakan Marzadasht Stadium on Saturday evening, with the visitors looking to bring their UEFA Nations League form into this tournament. In the Nations League qualifiers, Turkey dominated their group, qualifying top of their group with 13 points in 6 matches, winning four, drawing one, and losing one. Since then, Turkey has moved to 44th in the Fifa world rankings. Like most sides that missed the World Cup, Turkey played two friendlies at the back end of last year and won both over Scotland and the Czech Republic. Turkey has consistently found the net, scoring in their last 18 matches in all competitions, and will see this as the perfect opportunity to get their tournament off to a strong start with a healthy goal difference. 

Ranked 92nd in the Fifa World rankings, Armenia has not appeared in the European tournament since gaining its independence. The host's ranking indicates the struggles they’ve had in recent times, as they have not won a single match in their last seven attempts in all competitions dating back to June last year. Armenia was also involved in two friendlies back in November but was unable to win either, drawing 2-2 to Kosovo and losing 2-0 to Albania. Their UEFA Nations League qualification campaign wasn’t much better for Armenia, ending at the bottom of the League B Group 1 and registering just one win in six matches. Armenia will know that they are one of the ranked outsiders in this tournament, which they will hope can take the pressure off them and allow the players to go out and express themselves in search of their first main event appearance.
