Angola vs Niger Prediction & Betting Tips - AFCON

Angola will be looking to extend their fine recent run when they return to action, at home to Niger in the AFCON qualifiers. The Palancas Negras will be favorites against The Ménas and we have a prediction for this Group F match.

Going into Match Day 3, Angola tops the standings with six points from their opening two matches. The latest of them was a 2-1 home win against Sudan.

It was Randy Nteka’s late strike after Mabululu’s opener that ensured Angola pulled three points clear at the top. That was also their sixth straight win and 10th undefeated game since losing to Morocco in a friendly in March.

With only two clean sheets in five matches, however, Pedro Gonçalves will have a reason to be worried.

In their previous two meetings with Angola, Niger suffered back-to-back defeats. The most recent of them was a 3-1 fall in 2008 and the visitors will hope to put in some improvement. 

From their opening two matches in this group, Niger have been able to bag just a point from a possible six. After starting their qualification campaign with a 1-0 loss to Sudan, they did well to hold giants Ghana to a 1-1 draw. 

Niger had Oumar Sako to thank as his 81st minute strike earned them a first point in the group. The visitors have one win only in their last six matches. 

They, however, have no win in 11 matches in AFCON qualification. Seven of those matches ended in defeat and they failed to score in seven.
