Andorra vs Romania Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

Andorra will host Romania on Saturday for the two nations opening match of Group I in the qualifiers for the 2024 UEFA Euros. Romania have won all four previous encounters against Andorra with the last match, a 4-0 win, being played in Andorra in October of 2013. Andorra are ranked 101 places below Romania in the FIFA world rankings and come into this match having lost their last two matches, albeit being friendlies. In competitive outings, they have lost just one of their last five matches in the Nations League with two of those being victories and they will hope for more of the same here. However, the level of teams they have been playing is lower than in this game. Historically, especially in qualifying matches, Andorra have fared worse while playing at home and only have one win in matches stretching 25 years.

Romania will know of this woeful run by Andorra and will prepare for this match seeking nothing but a win. Edward Iordanescu’s men have won two of their last three matches by scoring over 3.5 goals and will expect to do the same here to send a message to the rest of the other teams in the group. They missed out on qualifying for the last edition of the Euros and last year’s World Cup and will have this as motivation here. With a home match against Belarus coming up next week, a win here will set them up nicely for that group game.
