FC Cartagena have risen into the promotion playoff slots in the Segunda Division in Spain and will want to stick there even as they prepare for their away match at fellow promotion chasers FC Andorra. The two will face off on Sunday with just a point separating them; hosts Andorra on 27 points in seventh and Cartagena in sixth place with 28 points. FC Andorra come into this game on the back of four straight wins and they have also improved on their form in defence and attack. They beat Ibiza 1-0 in their last game, registering a third straight clean sheet while in their last four matches they’ve scored three or more goals in two. Two of these matches were however non-league games and with two straight wins in the league, they will still be inspired to try and leap ahead of their visitors in this clash. They’ve lost just one of their last five league matches anyway, won four and kept four clean sheets in those wins. With three losses in five home league matches though, FC Andorra have a lot of improvement to target.

FC Cartagena are also coming into this game on the back of a win but the 2-1 victory over Eibar was a recovery from an earlier 2-1 loss to Mirandes. That was their third win in five matches, but their only clean sheet in this run came in a Copa del Rey clash, a 1-0 win over Alfaro. Both sides have scored in four of FC Cartagena’s last five matches, and three of them have produced over 2.5 goals. In the Segunda Division, FC Cartagena have managed no clean sheet in the last four matches, but they have scored in each of the four games, with three of them ending in over 2.5 goals. Their most recent league outing saw them rise from a goal down to beat Eibar 2-1 and it was the second straight game that they conceded first, an issue they may need to address going into this away game. It will particularly be crucial as they face a side that has prevailed in recent matches, and yet FC Cartagena haven’t done well on the road. In their last four away league matches, FC Cartagena are winless and failed to score in two of them, while losing twice. They have just one clean sheet in five away league matches.
