Anderson Silva vs Michael Bisping Prediction & Betting Tips - UFC Fight
by |
Former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva takes on British hope Michael Bisping in the main event of the UFC Fight Night event at the O2 in London. It's the big comeback for Silva who has been suspended for the past year after failing a drugs test after a win over Nick Diaz at UFC 183. Two years ago he suffered a terrible injury breaking his left fibula and tibia in a match against Chris Weidman that saw Silva lose his Middleweight title after ten straight defences. Silva isn't far off his 41st birthday now, his best days are behind him but has he got enough left in the tank to beat Bisping? The British competitor (though he was born in Cyprus) celebrates his 37th birthday the day after this contest. Let's hope he's in a fit enough state to blow out the candles on his cake. He's 7th in the UFC Middleweight rankings and hasn't fought since a win over Thales Leites last July. This is only his second bout since November 2014 so he might be a bit rusty like his opponent. His record is 27-7 and a win here would really put him in with a chance of getting into title contention. It's a big night for him as he fights in England for the first time since 2010. Both are past their best but Silva has by far the better record and I see him getting the win here.
