AmaZulu are in the CAF Champions League for the first time ever and they have their race in control so far, as they prepare to host Algeria’s Setif. The South African side is currently second in Group B, with three points, same to Setif who are third. AmaZulu will have a league game against TS Galaxy before hosting ES Setif, a game they will be really hoping to win. On Match Day 2 of the Champions League, AmaZulu beat Horoya 1-0. That win, coming at home was key for AmaZulu, who had struggled at home in the qualifiers and opened their group matches with a loss to Raja Casablanca. They can gun for a second win as they play a second straight home game in the Champions League. The main concern for the South Africans will be the low scoring run that has been a feature of their matches. They haven’t been scoring a lot and in two of their last three matches they’ve actually failed to score completely. AmaZulu haven’t scored more than a goal in their last five matches and four of the five matches have produced under 2.5 goals.

ES Setif are coming from a home loss to Raja Casablanca in their Match Day 2 engagement in the Champions League and will hope to avoid another loss here. Their only win so far in Group B came in an away game, at Horoya and they will be gunning for anther here. In the last five matches, they’ve scored more than a goal in just one and they haven’t been scoring a lot either; in the last 10 games, Setif have managed more than a goal in just three of their last 10 games across all competitions. Eight of their last 10 matches across all competitions have produced under 2.5 goals. In this game, Setif’s main advantage will be their experience in this competition; in the last five matches, they’ve failed to score in one and won three. Each of their last three matches in the competition have however ended in under 2.5 goals. However, in their last 10 away matches in the Champions League, they have just two wins and failed to score in five of the 10.
