AmaZulu will host Orlando Pirates in what promises to be an exciting quarterfinal clash in the Nedbank Cup this Saturday. Both sides will enter this clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on the back of wins, adding to the excitement. Home team AmaZulu will be keen on ending their hoodoo against Pirates, the cup holders. This will be the second meeting between these two PSL sides this season, the first at this same venue having ended 0-0. In their last 19 attempts, AmaZulu failed to beat Pirates. It will bother them that they don’t come into this game on a very strong footing either. AmaZulu have managed just two wins in their last seven matches though they only lost twice in that run. Being the holders means they come here with the best run in the competition. They have seven straight wins in the Nedbank Cup. Pirates had a good warmup to this match, thrashing Golden Arrows 7-1 in the PSL to return to winning ways. The Sea Robbers had gone winless in two games ahead of that big win. The last time they lost this fixture was in 2014 and will be full of confidence in a reunion with a side they’ve dominated that much. Pirates have won 10 of their last 19 meetings with AmaZulu.
