Alavés vs Real Madrid Prediction & Betting Tips - LaLiga

Just a point will take Real Madrid to the top of La Liga but they come into this away game at sixth placed Alaves having not scored in their last three league and cup games. All different form from the start of the season when winning their first three league matches and scoring ten goals. Four more points followed from the next two games but then their form went downhill with a 3-0 defeat at Sevilla, a home 0-0 draw with Atletico Madrid and then a shock 1-0 loss at Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League. It's the first time since 2007 that Real have failed to score in three consecutive games. Away form in La Liga is a problem with just one win in the last six but they have had two convincing away wins at Alaves since their opponents won promotion.

Alaves are sixth in La Liga and will draw level on points with Real if they can win this match. Their season got off to a bad start with a 3-0 loss at Barcelona followed by a goalless draw at home to Real Betis. Those two poor results were followed by three straight wins coming from behind to beat Espanyol 2-1, winning 1-0 at Real Valladolid with a 93rd minute winner and hammering Rayo Vallecano 5-1. Their last two games haven't produced a win and it could easily have been two defeats. They needed a 95th minute equalizer to get a point at home to Getafe and then lost 2-1 at struggling Levante after taking the lead. Alaves are unbeaten in their last four home league games but this is a lot tougher than recent games and  their record against the top three teams in Spain - Real, Atletico and Barcelona- is  appalling. Real can get a welcome away win.
