Alanyaspor will welcome Hatayspor on Sunday in their next Turkish Super Lig match. The two teams are tied on four points with second-placed Hatayspor edging Alanyaspor in fifth by goal difference. Alanyaspor are unbeaten after two rounds of play and are yet to concede a goal. Omer Erdogan’s charges began the season with a 2-0 win against Istanbul Basaksehir at home. They would however drop their first points of the season in their next match against Rizespor. The match ended 0-0. As they return back home, the Antalya Province-based side will be confident of getting back to winning ways. Alanyaspor were emphatic 6-0 winners the last time they hosted Hatayspor. They have struggled to win matches though in recent outings with one victory in their last six games. Despite this, Sunday’s hosts arrive for this match unbeaten in their last four matches.

Hatayspor also began the season with a win and then followed that up with a 0-0 draw. After thumping Pendikspor 5-1 away from home in the opening round, Volkan Demirel’s charges would share the spoils at home with Kasimpasa. This is a strong start to the season for a side that was affected deeply by February’s devastating earthquake. Hatayspor midfielder Christian Atsu was one of the many who lost their lives. Together with Gaziantep, Hatayspor did not compete in the second half of last season. They played their first match in pre-season and since then they have won four times in eight outings while drawing twice. Hatayspor have won two of the last three meetings with Alanyaspor, scoring six goals without reply.
