Ahli and Al Ittihad are playing catch-up in the Saudi Pro League title race, Al Ahli third and Al Ittihad fourth. The two will face off on Match Week 26 of the campaign, with Al Ahli playing host in the Monday game. Al Ahli, who have 48 points, will be seeking to open a five point gap ahead of Al Ittihad. The most crucial target for them will however be closing in on second placed Al Nassr, who are eight points ahead. All their three defeats in the last 10 matches were at the hands of Al Hilal – twice in the Champions League. They can now build on their three wins in the last four matches. More crucially, a win here would see them move to third, closer to their Champions League target. In Al Ittihad’s last away game, they came from behind at Al Fateh, to win 4-2. They gave it a good response after going behind but will be concerned at their defending. In three straight away matches now, Al Ittihad conceded at least two goals.
