Fifth placed Ajax bid to continue their resurgence in form. A tough task awaits them on Saturday as they host league leaders PSV. The home side made an appalling start to the new season with only five points from their first eight league games. That left them down at the bottom of the Eredivisie and a managerial change was inevitable. John van't Schip is their interim head coach and his side has been in good form in recent months. A form guide for the last ten league games has them only two points behind PSV but still 21 adrift in the main table. Their main aim must be to secure a top three finish and qualify for the Champions League and they are now only four points off third position. Eight of their last ten league games have been won and they are without a defeat in the last 11. Five of their last six home league matches have been won.

PSV begin the weekend a commanding 12 points clear at the top of the table. They have won all but one of their 19 games in the Dutch Eredivisie this season. The first 17 were all won but then they let slip a lead at Utrecht and only drew 1-1. They soon got back into winning ways with a 2-0 home victory over Almere City with de Jong scoring both their goals. Away form has seen them win eight out of nine, scoring 31 goals and only conceding three. A strange stat for you, they are yet to concede a goal in the first half of their away league fixtures. They beat Ajax 5-2 at home in the reverse fixture but we go for a double chance bet on the home side winning or drawing this fixture.
