Third placed Adelaide United bid to make it three A-League wins in a row. They host Western Sydney Wanderers who are fourth but struggling on their travels. Adelaide are only behind second placed Central Coast Mariners on goal difference. Overtaking them would see Adelaide go into the play-off semi-finals rather than the quarters. Current form is strong with recent wins over Brisbane Roar and Western United, both currently in the bottom three of the A-League. The 3-2 win at Western United was better than it looks as they were trailing 2-0 going into the 68th minute. Home league form has been impressive this season with five wins, a draw and just the one loss to Newcastle Jets at the end of December. Western Sydney Wanderers are a place and two points behind their opponents. They need to bounce back from a 1-0 home loss in their derby match with Sydney FC. Their current form is not great with just one win in their last six A-League fixtures. That was a home win over Western United who have only earned four points from seven away league games this season. Wanderers also have problems on their travels.
