Adelaide United will play host to a stuttering Melbourne Victory at Coopers Stadium in the A-League on Saturday morning. The Reds are in second place while the Big V are seventh in the league standings. Check out our match prediction below. 

Adelaide United have been enjoying a solid run of form recently, winning both their games in the New Year to move into the top two last week after downing Wellington Phoenix 2-1 on the road. 

The most notable improvement made by the Reds over the last month has been their attacking output, as they have netted 13 goals - half their season’s tally - in their last five league matches. 

However, the hosts have been much less impressive on their home ground, having only won one of their five matches to date, while conceding 10 goals in that period. 

Meanwhile, Melbourne Victory have not made the start to 2025 they would have hoped for, posting two draws and a loss in their first three matches of the year.

Their latest match ended in a 4-3 defeat to Western United at home over the weekend, which extended their winless run in the top flight to five games (W0 D3 L2). 

The visitors have played six away games this term and have earned eight points. They are now hoping to avoid a third straight defeat and have failed to score in three of their last four on the road.
