Milan host Torino in the last 16 of the Italian Cup. The winners of this match will face either Fiorentina or Sampdoria in the quarter finals with Napoli and Roma possible opponents in the last four. Milan are third in Serie A with their opponents in 10th position. Milan dropped down from second place at the weekend after being held to a 2-2 home draw by Roma. That was hugely disappointing considering they led 2-0 going into the 87th minute. That was their second game since the Italian season resumed, the other being a 2-1 win at Salernitana. Milan had won four home games in a row before the draw at the weekend. They last won the Italian Cup 20 years ago and that win is the only time they've lifted the trophy since 1977. Despite that lack of success they are unbeaten in their last seven home Italian Cup games, last losing in 2019.

Torino and Milan have both won the Italian Cup on five occasions. The last Torino win was in 1993, could their wait for a sixth Italian Cup win end 30 years later?  They are the draw experts at the moment with their last three Serie A games all ending 1-1 and rather frustratingly, they led in two of those matches. Their most recent game saw them draw 1-1 at 14th placed Salernitana after going ahead in the first half. Only three of their last 12 league games have been won but one of those was a 2-1 home win over MIlan in October. Torino have won only one of their last seven away league games. They've beaten Palermo and Cittadella to get to this last 16 tie. Both wins were at home and they've lost 13 of their last away Italian Cup games. Back Milan to win this.
