AC Milan will welcome Lazio on Saturday in their next Serie A fixture. The hosts have been in good form and currently sit second in the standings while Lazio are down in 11th. AC Milan are right back to joint top in the league thanks to a 3-1 success away to Cagliari on Wednesday. The result moved Stefano Pioli’s men up to 15 points, same as cross-town rivals Inter who were defeated also on the same day. Milan have bounced back superbly after their 5-1 humbling by Inter two weeks ago. They are unbeaten in three matches and have won their last two. The Rossoneri will be confident of extending this run given their recent success against Lazio. Milan have won four of the last five meetings with Lazio with three of those victories coming with them as hosts.

Lazio also arrive for this match after winning in midweek. Maurizio Sarri’s men were 2-0 winners at home against Torino on Wednesday. The win, only their second of the season, extended their current unbeaten run to three matches. Lazio have struggled with inconsistency and have lost three of their six league games. They have amassed seven points and find themselves five points adrift of the top four. Two of Lazio’s three defeats have come while away from home. They were defeated 3-1 the last time they locked horns with a team in the top four.
