It’s a Milan derby in the semifinal of the Italian Cup 1st leg. This is one of those rare derby matches where the home and away legs will be played at the same stadium as both teams use the San Siro as their home ground. AC Milan are unbeaten in their last six matches with three wins and three draws. They are top of Serie A just two points ahead of Inter Milan but have played the extra match. They will be frustrated as they drew 1-1 at home to Udinese in their last match. AC Milan have lifted this cup five times in the past with their last triumph coming in 2003.AC Milan played two Serie A teams in the previous rounds of the Cup. In their first round match they needed penalties to beat Genoa but in the last round they had an emphatic 4-0 against Lazio.
Inter Milan missed the chance to close the gap on leaders AC Milan in their last match as they could only muster a goalless draw against Genoa. They will be out for revenge against their Milan rivals as they were beaten 2-1 when these teams met in a league match earlier this month. Inter Milan are without a win in their last four matches losing two and drawing two. They have only won one match in their last six across all conditions .Inter Milan have won the Cup seven times but the last win was in 2011. Last year they knocked AC Milan out of the Cup at the quarter final stage.
