Fourth placed Milan host Verona who are 18th in deep relegation trouble. The home side have secured their place in next season's Champions League. That didn't prove as difficult a task as they imagined thanks to Juventus having ten points deducted. Milan begin this final Serie A match two points behind third placed Inter who play at Torino in their final match. Three of their last four home league games have been won, making it 12 for the season with only two defeats. Their season has had some highs and a few disappointments, particularly losing to Inter in the Champions League semi-finals. Winning this game and possibly finishing above their rivals would slightly but not totally soften those disappointments.

Verona begins this final game of the season in the relegation zone. Two sides are already down and the final place is between Verona and 17th placed Spezia. They are both on 31 points but if the points total end level, then Spezia will relegate Verona due to head-to-head results. Spezia also have a difficult final match as they travel to Roma. Verona have to avoid defeat here to have any chance of Serie A survival but have won only one of their last nine league matches. On the road, Verona have the second worst record in Serie A with just one match won all season. That sole win came in early May at Lecce but they've lost at Atalanta since then. We back Milan to get the win and send Verona down.
