AC Milan will host Fiorentina in their final game of 2022, hoping to finish the year on a high after coming from s disappointing 0-0 draw with struggling Cremonese. Milan have dropped to third place, with 30 points after the Cremonese game and will face 10th placed Fiorentina who are on a good run. Milan, without the suspended Olivier Giroud, struggled to break lowly placed Cremonese in the last game and here they have a tougher outing. There has been a marked improvement in their defensive discipline, keeping three clean sheets in the last five matches, but they need some consistency. Milan go into this game eight points behind league leaders Napoli and will want to avoid any more slip ups. Four of their last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals. Their only loss in 10 league matches was against the leaders, Napoli; they’ve won the remaining nine.

Fiorentina are on a good run; they haven’t lost a game since their 4-3 defeat to Inter Milan. They come into this game with five straight wins and in their last three, they have kept two clean sheets. One area that Fiorentina have really improved on is their attack, in each of their last six matches, they have scored more than a goal. They’ve failed to score more than a goal in just two of their last 10 matches in all competitions. Four of their last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals. Going into this game, they will however feel the need to improve on their away run, having managed just two wins in their last 10 matches on the road.
