Milan had been hoping to win Serie A this season, now they might not even get in the Champions League. They are down to fifth in the table and need three points at home against 18th placed Benevento. Milan are only outside the top four on goal difference but have lost their last two league games. Defeats have come at home to Sassuolo and in their most recent game, a 3-0 loss away at Lazio. Milan still have away games against Atalanta (second) and Juventus (fourth) so they definitely need a win from this match. Only one of their last six home league games has been won and three defeats inflicted on them. Both teams have scored in four of the last five home fixtures with only two clean sheets in the last 12. They both came against sides currently in the bottom five.

Their most recent fixture saw them lose 4-2 at Udinese. That makes it 11 goals conceded in the last three but they've scored seven of their own. This season has seen them concede 66 goals in Serie A, only the bottom two in the table have conceded more. Away from home, Benevento have one win in eight. Milan can extend that poor record and get a welcome home win here.
