Atalanta got back into winning ways on Tuesday evening when beating Bologna 1-0 at home. The victory took them to second place in Serie A and they now travel to AC Milan who moved up to fifth after a win at Sassuolo on Tuesday. Atlalanta moved to within six points of leaders Juventus but from a game more. They lead third placed Inter by two points, though they will be overtaken if Inter beat Fiorentina on Wednesday. The win over Bologna came thanks to a 63rd minute goal from substitute Luis Muriel and stretched their unbeaten league and cup run to 17 games. This will be a tough examination of their form though. Atalanta have been held to a draw in their last two away league games at Juventus and Verona. They led in both of those games, so should be a lot closer to Juventus than they are. Away form this season has seen Atalanta win ten out of 17 league games with only one defeat at Bologna in mid-December.

AC Milan are up to fifth in the table but that's the highest they can get. The win at Sassuolo on Tuesday confirmed their place in the Europa League next season. The win was their fifth win in their last six league matches. Home form has been impressive with four straight victories and 14 goals scored.  Those wins have come against Juventus, Roma, Parma and Bologna, so on their day they can beat anyone in this league. Clean sheets aren't that common though with only two in the last eight at home. They keep on scoring though and the last three matches have seen 12 scored with nine different players getting on the scoresheet. Milan have scored at least twice in each of their last nine league games. It's all a massive improvement for Milan. Their first 19 league games produced 25 points but the last 16 have seen them earn 34.  Goals aplenty could well be on the cards in this match with 16 scored in the last three home league games. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in each of their last seven league games. Go for that stat to come up again in this match.
